Vanity, vain hopes and anti-aging treatments: they lure in us with their `scientific' claims, elegant packaging and even their price tags - after all, if they're that expensive, surely they must work; but are you simply wasting your money on anti-aging creams?
Article Abstract:
Trendy anti-aging facial creams and lotions offer solutions for retarding the aging process and removing wrinkles. Popular ingredients include tretinoin, alpha-hydroxy acid, antioxidant, retinol, collagen, elastin, ceramide, protein, and co-enzyme Q10. These products provide a moisturizing component that make the skin look smoother, but there is no proof that skin aging stops or that wrinkles disappear. Various brand products are assessed for their ingredients. Prices range from $35 to $120 Australian dollars.
